We like wireless, biotech and precious metals going forward

So far this year the equity markets have been stellar with S&P 500 Index (SPX) up about 12% and NASDAQ 100 (NDX) up 22% as of Sept. 24. Our analysis indicates that style-box funds, sector indices (except for utilities), and world indexes (except for the U.S. dollar index) are generally buys.

The small cap stocks now lead the style box indexes. Precious metals still lead the sector indexes. But semiconductor is now near the bottom of the sector index list, whereas last month it was at the top

The S&P 500 index’s up trend remains intact according to our analysis. Thus, our analysis indicates a continued strong uptrending market that has not changed character very much in the last month. Some of our other analysis however, not reported here, suggests that the market may be topping out. It may be prudent to lighten up equities somewhat.

You decide. At this time we like technology, wireless, biotech, precious metals, and small cap value funds
